EES Scientists Departed for Arctic Expedition
Two scientists from our EES department, Dr. Penghui Du and Matthew Cheng (first year PhD student), embarked on an exciting journey to the Arctic!
During their week-long stay based at the Chinese Yellow River Station in Ny-Ålesund (Svalbard, Latitude 78.9° N), Penghui and Matthew will carry out field sampling with an aim to investigate biogeochemical changes and their drivers in the ever-warming Arctic terrestrial environment. Their work represents another important milestone for CUHK scientists contributing to national scientific endeavors and advancing polar research.
